Trentham & Hanford - Suspicious incident Trentley Road. ASB updates and this weeks Police Street Surgeries |
||||||||||||||||||
|
Good morning everyone,
I hope you all had a nice weekend.
Suspicious incident – Trentley Road.
On 07/01/26 at approximately 15:20, a transit pick up truck travelled down Trentley Road. A female onboard the vehicle spoke to a child, offering him sweets and encouraging him to get into the van. The child ignored the female and the vehicle exited Trentley Road and headed in the direction of Pacific Road. It is believed that there were also two males on board and they were wearing high-visibility clothing. We have not received any further reports, however I will be doing my best to be in the area of Trentley Road at the end of school day throughout this week. If anyone has a CCTV, Ring door bell or Dash Cam footage that may help our enquiries, please call 101 quoting serial 538 of 07/01/2026.
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) update. Following reports of knocking and running in the Trentham Lakes area and one other location in Trentham – We have now identified members of the group who were causing the issues.
Last week myself and PCSO Cooper completed patrols of locations where there had been reports and we visited addresses of those involved in the ASB. I am aware of a motorbike being driven around Trentham lakes with no lights and no registration - I will be looking into these reports throughout this week.
Defrosting vehicles
There have been reports of vehicles being stolen in Fenton, Meir and Bentilee, due to being left running and unattended whilst being defrosted. When defrosting your vehicle, please do not leave it running unattended – even if it’s on your drive. It’s really important to stay with your vehicle to prevent opportunist thieves from taking advantage.

There will be a number of Police Street Surgeries this week. If you could please let friends, family and neighbours know about them please – Thank you.
